Julianna Eidle, flute

Julianna Eidle is a performer, organizer, and educator based in Illinois. She teaches flute at Western Illinois University and performs with Opera in the Ozarks, along with orchestras throughout the Midwest. A passionate collaborator, she works regularly with the Linton Chamber Music Series and Concert:Nova. Julianna is Artistic Director of Cincinnati New Music, a Performing Artist with the Contemporary Art Music Project, and Co-Director of New Downbeat, where she supports equitable, community-centered music making. She has premiered more than 50 works and brings a holistic approach to teaching shaped by her studies in Deep Listening and yoga.

Paul Chinen, oboe

Dr. Paul Chinen is Assistant Professor of Oboe at Western Illinois University and is a founding member of Camerata Nova. He also serves as Second Oboe with Orchestra Iowa and previously held positions with the Great Falls Symphony, Chinook Winds Quintet, Helena Symphony, Florida Grand Opera, and Palm Beach Symphony. Paul has appeared with orchestras across the country and has been featured as a soloist with the WIU Wind Ensemble and the South East Iowa Symphony. He is featured on two NAXOS recordings and has held fellowships at major summer festivals. Paul holds degrees from the University of Miami, Lynn Conservatory, and George Mason University.

Gloria Orozco Dorado, clarinet

Dr. Gloria Inés Orozco Dorado is a Colombian clarinetist whose work centers on collaboration, cultural memory, and community engagement. She performs internationally and received First Prize in the 2024 ICA Research Competition for Ritmos de mi Tierra, a project celebrating the musical heritage of Caloto, Cauca, and released on SoundSet Recordings. Gloria has appeared as a soloist with the Arizona Symphony Orchestra and performs widely as a chamber musician, including with Q’iru Duet and Ensemble. She also leads Soplan Vientos de Paz, an education initiative for youth in Colombia. She holds her DMA from the University of Arizona.

Charlie Chadwell, saxophone

Dr. Charlie Chadwell (he/him) is a performer, educator, and advocate for new music, serving as Assistant Professor of Saxophone at Western Illinois University and Director of Professional Activities for the College Music Society. A founding member of Camerata Nova, he has commissioned and premiered works by leading composers and performed at major national and international conferences. Chadwell has appeared with ensembles such as Chicago’s ~Nois and premiered significant new works, including Jim Stephenson’s Code of Conduct. He presents clinics and performances nationwide and holds degrees from UT Austin, Oklahoma State University, and Michigan State University.

Andrea Baker, bassoon

Dr. Andrea C. Baker serves as Assistant Professor of Bassoon at Western Illinois University and is a founding member of Camerata Nova. She works closely with composers to expand the contemporary woodwind quintet repertoire and has helped secure grant support for Camerata Nova’s commissioning projects, including an International Double Reed Society 50 for 50 grant and a WIU research council grant. Dr. Baker also appears with the Opera in the Ozarks Orchestra and the Richmond Symphony in Indiana. Her chamber and educational work, including Some Light Reeding and Friends in Low Places, reflects her commitment to creativity, community, and accessible artistry.
